Caller IDs are just claims — scammers fake them effortlessly to pose as a bank, a grandchild, an official, or a colleague. There's never been a reliable way to check that on a phone call. That's exactly the gap Certifon closes.
Certifon's answer
Instead of trusting the number, you exchange a cryptographic key once in person (via QR code, the same way secure messengers do it). From then on, every call can be proven genuine in seconds: this really is who they claim to be.

Meet once and scan each other's QR code — just like secure messenger apps do it. From then on your devices recognize each other, with no account or sign-up needed.
Check every call
One side reads a number aloud, the other types it in — if it matches, the call is genuine. If it doesn't: hang up and call back on a number you already know.
Works on landlines too
No smartphone at the handset needed: Certifon runs as a companion app alongside a regular phone call — built with people who don't use a smartphone for calls in mind too.
